Inside a session

What a session looks like

Sixty minutes, every rep with a purpose.

  1. 0–10 min

    Warm up and ball work

Movement prep, then stationary and on-the-move handles to get the ball alive.

  2. 10–30 min

    Skill block

The focus of the day: pace changes, retreat dribbles, float game, footwork. Broken down, then built back up.

  3. 30–50 min

    Read and react

Live reps against a defender or a cue. Timing, reads and decisions at game speed.

  4. 50–60 min

    Finish strong

Mid-paint and finishing package, then free throws on tired legs.

Your trainer

Fargo-grown point guard.

I grew up in Fargo and ran the point for Fargo Davies. As a senior captain I averaged 19.3 points and led the state in assists, and we finished top three at state in back-to-back seasons. From there I played college ball at Northern State and Morningside.

Now I train players from youth up through the pros. My sessions are about the part of the game most players skip: reading the defense, changing pace, and making the right play in the mid-paint. Not just drills, but decisions made at game speed.
